I think that Psychedelic makes more sense, as it describes a specific type of human experience - regardless of whether that experience is directly caused or inspired by chemical means. Hallucinogenic implies actual hallucinations, which are only the visual aspect of a psychedelic experience, and in many cases are not even present during such an experience. I know that many people have replaced the word Psychedelic with Entheogen in their vocabulary but Entheogen implies a religious or spiritual context, which again is only one possible, non-mandatory aspect of a psychedelic experience.

I also like "Visionary Art" but I already made a site called that, which is kind of splitting hairs but I'm ok with it. :)
