Sunken Atlantis

This is an updated version of a piece I did a few months ago. The picture of it was poor quality and I never felt like the piece itself was finished so I did some more work on it. Now it's more in the direction I was trying to imply.

Acrylic, hard pastels, some reflecting powder (lethal without proper ventilation!).. and some sort of pencil, almost like a hard pastel but I can't find it now. I still refuse to use oils because my hands are so shaky that I need to rest it on something, for that reason the canvas needs to be DRY. What I lose for luminosity I make up for with control for more detail. I don't know how you oil painters do it.
